(2011)Year in Review

This has been a great year! I started 2011 as an engaged woman and am ending 2011 as a married woman. With being married, I also moved in with my husband and we have a lovely apartment I am quite fond of. I turned the last year of my 20's in November. I have learned no family is perfect, and that love is hard.

I am looking forward to 2012 as I strive to be fiscally responsible, a more disciplined person, and a big loser (as in the tv show). I have loved 2011 and am looking forward to 2012 and all the joys, sorrows, and love it will bring.

There is one additional item I must mention for 2011. I have learned more about myself and I am learning that I am ok. Christ came to save sinners, not perfect people. I am not perfect (by any means) but because of what Christ did, I am truly grateful. This does not mean I do not struggle, trust me, I struggle. But I know I am ok.

New Year

On Sunday, I turned the big 29. By the time I'm 30, I have created new goals for myself. I want to be fitter, financially free, thinking about starting a family, and looking for a house. That is a heck of a lot to accomplish in one to two years but if it is the Lord's Will, it will happen. I have to be willing to help myself by setting up some smaller goals each and every day.

I have a month until I am in a good friends' wedding. I am looking forward to it and hopefully dropping a few pounds before then. I just have to be a little more disciplined every day.

Losing weight and accomplishing anything in life, you must have goals. It's such a basic concept but yet I make it soo much harder than it has to be!

New Week

Today is the start of a new week. I've done okay on my diet thus far but in order to see real results, I am going to kick it up a notch or two.

One of the things I do not understand is why losing weight is so difficult. I mean, gaining weight is one of the easiest things to do; it slowly creeps upon you without you knowing and then WHAM! you've put on an exI atra 50 pounds.

So I am bent on continuing to struggle with my weight issue and I will be able to get it under control. Today is a new day and a new week. It is also the first Monday in a new month!

More to come soon!

Day 11 Part 2

I have done terrible today! I have had soo many bad days that I am very embarassed. NO MORE BAD DAYS.

Tomorrow is a new day...

Day 11

My fear from yesterday came true. I gained 1.2 lbs back. I will now spend the next few days concentrating on what my body needs, what types of foods I am putting into my body, and the signals my body is telling me I am satisfied or hungry. At least I know I can lose it as I have lost the weight previously.

I am going to drink lots and lots of water today.

I am not going to let the fears, disappointments and the joys of today affect what food items go into my body. I choose to eat healthy and to be healthy.

Day 9 and 10

Yesterday, I did really well. I did get discouraged last night when I weighed myself. But this morning I weighed myself and lost 1.2 lbs.

I have got to get a hold of myself. Anytime I lose weight, I get really excited and want to reward myself with food. Tomorrow is another day and I will reward myself in different ways. I need to not let myself think any negative thoughts as that is what depresses me. I know it is not impossible to lose weight, but there are moments when I think it is impossible. These are the moments when I become discouraged and turn to food for comfort. I cannot let myself do that anymore!

Why is it so hard?

Day 8

Yesterday was Day 8 on my weightloss adventure. I woke up and had kashi go-lean cereal for breakfast. I had an icee for a snack and had seafood leftovers for lunch, not the healthiest but a lot better than Saturday; I only ate when I was hungry and stopped when I was satisfied.

I went to the gym and ran on the elliptical yesterday for 40 minutes and felt great!

Today is a new day and I will do better than yesterday with food. I am realizing that the secret to weightloss is 90% what I put into my body and 10% exercise.

Today I am going to focus more on everything little thing that goes into my body and I will do better today than I did yesterday.
